Trusting Jesus

After reading my story, I hope you find that I’m a credible source when it comes to trusting Jesus. As a 16 year old boy, I find that you never stop hearing the words “life is hard.” I’m sure you hear it often, no matter what age you are. That’s because it’s true my friends. If I’m the first person relaying this message to you, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but life will always be hard. Although I’m sure you may have also heard, that despite the valleys, life has it’s hills. As humans we tend to make it harder for ourselves when we lean on our own understanding. Let me elaborate. We tend to make our own plan, or our own view of how thing’s will play out. I have come to learn that life doesn’t work out that way. But stay with me readers, I do have some good news, crazy right?

From a teenager’s viewpoint, having hope when we are in those valleys can be difficult. Keep going! Trusting that God has a plan, even when we can’t understand it, can be your saving grace. God has taken me out of that valley. From a weary, broken spirited boy, to a hopeful warrior! Faith means believing without seeing. Can you believe that you can face the hardest battles and make it out? Joseph was sold by his own brothers, but joseph had the Lord with them and gave him success in everything he did. In moments like Joseph’s, we lose faith. We become so distracted in our own chaos that we forget that God is the comfort in it. Joseph did not forget, and so the lord blessed him. Whatever chaos your facing, remember your not walking alone, and you will be blessed for it.
